Biographical
Mediating since 1985 to 2015, Bruce has completed in excess of 3000 mediations. Initially his focus was on Family Mediation. Today he now includes specializations in Personal Injury, Employment Law, Estate, Construction and Human Rights amongst other areas. Bruce is one of the instructors for the Lawyers as Negotiators Program at Osgoode Hall Law School for third year students. He is also an educator in the advance Mediation Program at York University and a resolution educator supervising Osgoode and York students in small claims court. In addition to this he mediates, arbitrates, adjudicates and investigates on a daily basis.
His educational exploits include a BA at York University, a Certificate in Mediation at U. of T., and a six-month Internship at the Oshawa Family Court. He then commenced a private practice. He then completed his MA in Psychology at Vermont College; followed by an LLM in ADR at Osgoode as well as his doctoral studies in Counselling. He is a certified Child Protection mediator and holds memberships at Family Mediation Canada, he is also a member at the OBA ADR section. He has also been a certified member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Practitioners for the last 28 years, as well as a member in good standing with the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program Superior Court of Justice since 1999. In addition to this he is a senior consultant at the Workplace Fairness Institute and is widely published on numerous areas in mediation. He also has acted as an arbitrator in numerous private matters for the last 12 years. Bruce also investigates workplace harassment issues and holds certification as an Ombudsman. Finally, he is also an adjudicator holding membership with the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators, as well as certified to provide services to the Government of Canada for Mediation, Arbitration, Counselling and Workplace Restoration.

Rates Information
My Bookings are $500/hr. based on a 4 hour minimum charge for ½ day matters and $400/hr for an 8 hour minimum charge for full day matters. My fee does not include Room Costs, Travel Time or Associated Costs and Applicable Taxes. My standard rate for OMMP mediations is, as allowed by the rules.I charge $400per hour for all time beyond, and for all non-Roster mediations. An administration fee of $150.00 + HST, and 1 hour of reading/preparation time is charged at my regular rate of $400.00/hr for these matters. A charge of $200 per hour is payable for travel that exceeds .25 hours. Fees are divided equally between the parties with counsel being jointly responsible for all charges. A commensurate fee is charged for faxing, long-distance and an administrative costs. A retainer may be required for multi-party bookings
